Our Story

Youth Future Farmers of Africa-Uganda (YoFFA-Uganda) is a national organization of secondary students engaged in agricultural education in Uganda. YoFFa-Uganda was co-founded by Mr. Ronald Ddungu and Mr. Brian Kibirige in 2014 as Young Farmers' Club after the implementation of the 1st Annual School. The Young Farmers' Club aimed at promoting practical agricultural sector including farming among in-school youth. After conferring with 02 volunteer educators and 01 student leader from the Future Farmers of America (FFA) in 2016, the club rebranded into the Youth Future Farmers of Africa-Uganda YoFFA and expanded its activities to cover other schools in Uganda. Using its School Agriculture Innovation Platform (SAIP) model a step-by-step procedure, YoFFA works with teachers and school leaders to create YoFFA chapters in schools. Today, YoFFA is led by Mr. Brian Kibirige and has over 100 local chapters in primary and secondary schools across Uganda with a student membership of more than 25,000 and about 200 advisor teachers.
